This was his What to expect page said: This practice is structured to improve access to care for people whose multi-system symptoms have persisted despite ongoing medical care. I feel strongly that a careful pre-office review of your medical records as well as a thorough exposure history is necessary to develop an understanding of your case. Cases like yours often hinge on minute details of exposure, response to medications, and changes you have experienced in symptoms over time. I often find answers to undiagnosed clinical problems by fine-tooth combing through old records. I always look. You will need to write up a timeline of your symptoms as well as when you were last well, onset of illness and progression over time. The first visit is a long one. (4hrs!!) I will take time to listen and learn about your case. Be thorough! Be organized! Do not edit what you say! *he may regret that last sentence

But I wonder what he charges(!) and whether he participates in BC/BS insurance?

I know he accepts BC/BS but dont know what others he participates in. I had to pay for the copies of my medical records sent to him but despite my husbands joke about the cost, it was very reasonable- though it could add up depending on how many you have. He wants every file from every dr I,ve seen from at least 5 yrs prior to onset of symptoms-(including dentists and hospitals-both ER and stays) to as current as possible. That was way more aggrevating to accomplish than it should be but its not surprising. I'm sure an EXpatients request is low on the to-do list. And in some cases I imagine a dr just might feel a touch of "unease" and shame because a peer will see he failed his patient. Anyway, if you just cant get them all, his office will do it for a fee (insurance will NOT pay for that). I was gonna skip my file from Johns Hopkins cause they just brushed me off but when I mentioned it to my dr she said No, have it sent- you only know what he said, not what he wrote. Let Dr Shoemaker make of it what he may. nanners He treats alot of mold related illness and TBIs but dont know for sure what else. I was referred by neuro and dont know what he told him. I do know that the "inside" name for his protocol is the GutBuster. oh happy happy joy joy doesnt that sound like a good time

Thats him Kmarie-- thanks for link!
Ive been so weird about him. I havent really read alot about him. This is so totally opposite of how I usually am. Normally I would google him bare--meaning I would find every snippet connected to him-- by now I'd know what he ate for breakfast! I so dont get me sometimes.
