Ruth, Priority is more expensive than First Class, but I think you've alredy figured out you were supposed to send it Express Mail which is overnight service. Hopefully even though you sent it Priority, it may arrive on Saturday and just sit there until Monday. I so hope it arrives in good shape and am sure it will be perfectly ok. I think Robin failed to Express Mail her's too, ( ) and sent it Priority and she's posted Dr. Abbott's comments as to alternatives that are cheaper than Express Mail.

EXPRESS MAIL......no i didn't figure that out. oops sid, this culture is starting to get the balls on the ends of the branching. i think the natual link mold dish and the pr0-lab dish is growing the same thing. as it matures.........we will know for sure tomorrow. the balls are starting to form up and down the shafts and on the ends, just like before. the sporangia should follow soon.

Excellent. So thankful for those of you having microscopes that can photograph what's taking place. Sometimes I truly regret not having an Intel Scope.....but again, I know I would be so glued to it...and my husband used to get so ticked at the amount of time I spent on the computer. To keep the peace I never bought one.
Good job, Ruth. I think you're right on target and we will soon know for sure. Thanks for sharing. It really helps me feel better to see what's actually growing, feeling I likely have what you have.

Great pics Ruth!
From what I see too in your pictures, they do look like the same growths.
Got mine today Sid, and thank you, and I'll "plant" today, and see what sprouts up.

I keep forgetting to ask Ruth where she's placed her upside down petri dish.....so, I did my own scraping last night along with some of the crazy looking facial hairs and placed the dish upside down (emphasis on that) taped edges, in the same cabinet the other three were cultured.
May your garden grow all kinds of nasty looking shyte, a mycologist's delight, etc., etc., and a fie and pox on the mafi muks out there.

yes, i have my cultures placed upside down. easier to photograph, too. no sporangia is growing this morning. toni, so glad you chimed in here. i thought it looked the same. when the sporangia come, we'll know for sure. then when dr. abott species it............we are on we'll have to do a writeup to post to all those people who are still freaked out wondering what is growing in their bodies. get off the nano stuff all it does is keep us in a state of confusion of possibilities. then antibiotic sensitivity. i should have planned ahead and bought more dishes to try different abx. in. however, we could have hit the jackpot and dr. abbott and thrasher will do this for us?

Funny thing about the "what is growing in their bodies," remark, as I confess I've spent way too much time agonizing about the artifacts found within my lesions, the bits of foil, grass, glass, animal hair, human hair, my own and hair from others, threads, fiber balls, and the damned BUGS... Yet some say "bugs" have not been a problem to them personally, therefore, to hear them tell it "bugs" afre not involved for any of us. This kind of thinking makes me crazy, but I do acknowledge if they have never found a real critter, alive or dead within a facial lesion or any lesion on any part of their body they should be on their knees thanking God. The Nano stuff discredits us. All the conspiracy stuff discredits us. If what we have in our skin is man-made surely the truth will prevail. Sure, there's lots of evil in the world, but to believe that a group has formulated something to depopulate Planet Earth is something I can't wrap what's left of my aging brain around. Mold/Fungus/Bacteria/Parasites. Look at your lab tests and do a little Googling. See if the values that were not within normal limits could be related to a mold or fungal infection, bacteria, or parasites. Get realistic, people, and be a part of the group testing for mold. Ruth, you mentioned antibiotics, but I'm thinking antifungals first, abx second, and I don't believe any "alternative" therapy will do the job, but I sure believe a strong immune system is critical. Surgery, laser treatment, debriding lesisons, this can be fixed in my opinion, unless it's systemic. That's a whole nuther ball of wax, and considering breathing difficulties some of us have, that to me is the really scary part. To me the lucky ones will be those who've experienced this disease short-term. For the rest of us only time will tell, and I do believe Dr. Abbott will be able to identify the mold/fungus and that the results will be written up and published.

I'm back. i cannot work today......i am so trippin
there was always doubt one sliver of doubt related to non sterile conditions.
sterile = objective data; the roots that grow thru this culture dish are small compared to their potential size.
my God they are those thick white ones that i saw enter into a guys back i was massaging. i tried to pull it out, it broke inhalf at the skin and entered his back. there was 6 of these thick white hairs that were sharp on the ends.
all these thoughts from all these years are crowding into my foremind. its like being in a bad B movie, yet we across the board lived the same bad movie.
WOW i am really trippin. the small dark closet door is open there is no doubt, no turning back.
our strength as one has overcome this complete absurdity we live. maybe this is the ultimate learning?
i entered this world never understooding how anyone on this bountiful earth can go hungry. makes no sense and the way greed makes a mockery of mans' integrity.

Ruth, I (if I go by everything I'm seeing and reading) and comparring, I think I have the same thing growing inside my face (as that guy you know with this growing in his back).
I can take tweezers and physically pluck and pull on the roots, and the roots even "make a snap" sound when they break off!!
They're strong!

right away is amp B. it has been there from the beginning of searching. remember liz who use to live by portland, or?
she started this and said she would be back. it has been an appropriate amount of time. can anyone access her?
THIS IS JUST ONE............
Treatment of Rhizomucor infections includes antifungal and surgical therapy,( HAHAHA, CAN YOU IMAGINE TRYING TO SKIN YOURSELF ALIVE?) which is also similar to the treatment of zygomycosis caused by fungi belonging to class Zygomycetes. For antifungal treatment, amphotericin B is most commonly used such as liposomal amphotericin B. Early diagnosis and treatment are vital and mortality rate is high.

I'm tellin ya, surgery as well as debriding the skin may be necessary. For you who have lesions "all over" you're not gonna have a fun time of it, but we don't need to go there.
It's "only" my face....but dammit it's the only face I have and I want it fixed. I will be happy to undergo surgery, but there is no way in this world or the next I will be treated with Amp B.
(Amphotericin B)
Regarding Zygomycetes and mortality being high, I've lived with this since at least 1991, but possibly as early as 1986. It hasn't killed me yet, but that's not to say it won't.
Let's just get it identified and hope and pray for a good outcome.

What you guys said about the "snapping" out of the skin... that's what I feel whenever I rub my skin hard (or even a countertop) and then pull. It feels like sharp rubberbands snapping out of my skin... I always feel that electrical sensation too.
I suppose we'll hear something from Dr. Abbott come Monday... I know he said it would take 1-4 weeks to analyze and identify, but he said he'd keep me posted. So if I hear from him, you know I'll post it here directly after the fact!
hugs ~~ bannanny
