I know this is silly...but fun for the holidays (this month).
Would anyone like to have their pet with Santa?
If so...just send me their picture.

toni, her name is pepper. she is 16 1/2 now. she's been my friend for all these years. always eager to please and never gets upset.
when i was sleeping in the forest at sedona, she kept me from freezing and one night she and i were surrounded by big coyotes. i woke up and she was gone she was sitting in one spot and growling as she turned circles, cause they must have wanted her the most. i used my blanket to make myself larger and starting charging them. they left. i'll never forget seeing her in that moonlight being so ferocious.
toni, how cute!

Ruth, what a great story. Your Pepper looks like she's a Schnauzer too, but I can't be sure of her size.
Abby's a miniature.

Toni - those are precious and so creative! And, a brave story on Pepper's part, Ruth and I just love the Schnauzer (terrier) breed.
My sister and niece came to see us over the weekend and they took 'Miez Miez' (Meats Meats) home with them to Tennessee, - the gray kitty that showed up a couple of months ago... it was going to be quite a process to get him to Germany and he would have been quarantined when he got there, etc. Jeany cried because she had really bonded with him, I was sad for her... and sad that Miez is not with us any longer - I'd like to see Miez with Santa or in a winter wonderland?

He's my 'baby'.. ...and I'm sad we had to give him away, but I'm glad he's staying within the family and I'm sure they'll take good care of him. Those pictures of yours are sooo cute..I love animals..and I also enjoyed your story about your doggy too, Ruth! We would just love a Santa pic or something like that with MiezMiez, Toni...can you 'fix' us one? I think there's pix of him on the Baculo thread?. Jeany

I couldn't stay away from the little children with fur....and the big ones. Your dog is such an extention of you. When I work with an animal, I see right into the home....by the dog. People do not realize that about dog groomers.....we see so much including how much your pet means to you. We see that because they mean that much to us....or at least they mean that much to me I've always loved the saying "dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole" cute picture toni! love, Ali

They do make our lives "whole." Far as I'm concerned anyone who doesn't like animals has a major problem....but that's just my opinion. I can't imagine not having pets, but for many years I could not allow a cat to sit in my lap, or a dog, and could barely even touch them due to their fur/hair ending up in my facial lesions.
At long last I can brush Abby, hold her, without fearing I'll get dog hair in my face.
Toward the end of June we "rescued" an adorable black and white female kitten who has become Abby's personal pet. They roll, romp, chase each other and are hilarious to watch. Maggie, the cat, sleeps with us at night and yes, sometimes there's a cat hair under my HyTape, but for the most part the colored threads and hair in lesions are a thing of the past.
Good to see you here, Ali! Miss you.

Kammy and Jeany, Yes, I'd enjoy too doing Miez-Miez's picture. I sure will. Friskers, hahah I love your barn yard animal too ;D Hi Ali, And what a wonderful heart you have. Pets sure do make our lives whole. They are incredible with their own personalities, and like you said, they're extensions of us too. They're forever with pure love, and they teach us so much.

oh sid, Im glad Abby found a friend. They are amplified by pairs. Always more content and playful with a buddy.
Toni,
I was a different person before I worked with animals.
They have taught me how to "be". All of my babies, my children~old and new~have touched my heart in the deepest ways places I didn't know existed. I am very fortunate to be surrounded by pure love daily......and the family members who love their pets so dearly. I am humbled I am a part of that, and grateful that I have the opportunity to do what I do. I would honestly drag myself out of my death bed to go to work and I do.........many days.(big smile)
