wanted to get some input on new symptoms I have been having that are disconcerting. Wanted to see if anyone else has had something similar. The onset of this was very fast-seems as though this past week marks a huge change for me. Doesnt feel at all like my other morg symptoms. Huge surface areas of my body are stinging and itching. There is not a lot of redness tho or wounds or even little pimple bumps although I have had chills and "chicken skin" on arms and legs. In some place I can scratch off a thin film of waxy stuff. Mostly it is white or beige. Perhaps it was first noticed in my ears, throat, eyelids, nose and anywhere there are opening. The ears are so itchy and this huge scabby thing worked its way out of the right ear. The stinging is like biting flies. On my neck there is white flaky stuff but it is not in any pattern like one might see w/ringworm or poison Ivy. And my neck is not any more itching or stinging than other areas of the body. My hips, back, arms, palms (lol itchy palms)scalp , chin...well I could go on... There are no threads associated with this except the usual ones that I have on my scalp and peri area (old symptoms). It doesn't seem to let up either. I have hydroxine and benadryl which cut it back enough for me to rest at night. I tried using my prescription fungal shampoo w/5% ketacanazole in a bath with lots of epsom salt, and tea tree oil. If anything I think I may have spread it. I am going to have to go to the doctor which rarely works out well for me. I am afraid to ask them for a fungal culture but I am in NW WA where people have been becoming ill w/new fungus from australia. Then again this could be an allergy. My boyfriend has a psoriasis-fungal thing on his calves which has come and gone for years but never bothered me. I notice there are areas that have a stretch marky-freckly look but in places where one would not find stretch marks like on biceps. My doctors will immediatly assume that I am nuts and then test the hypothesis so I am very reluctant to go in complaining of itching and stinging. But if I don't go in- I guess I could wait and see if I become feverish. Sorry to go on and on.

Nezi,
Have you ever been around cats or bitten by one? Ticks?
What you describe sounds exactly like Bartonella. It is terribly itchy, and has some weird skin effects, including the wierd stretch marks you describe.
That is part of the ongoing battle we have going on here, well until all hell broke loose with new mites. I was just taking a break. Working on an answer to your email. Sorry, I couldn't get 'er done earlier.

Hhhmm haven't been bitten or scratched recently and yes I have been bitten by ticks but not in the last year or two. I hope that you will soon be in a mite free environment. It sure is a battle-I feel like I never know what is going to happen next. I wish I could get the western blot as I had the other lyme test and it came up negative. Really sick of waking up w/a benadryl hangover but at least it puts a dent in the itching and stinging.

One of my worst phases of the onset of Morgellons was this period of time when I too, was enveloped by a markedly intensified itchiness...to the point of tears and madness for what seemed like days on end with little relief in between the major spells of it. This was also the phase of my illness when my skin "weeped" from any opening on it' surfaces, including the ridges between my fingertips and fingernails. The substance that my body was exuding was very thick and sticky, quite heavy in weight but virtually undetectable to the naked eye, even my own. It would form whitish or brownish or tannish colored swirls (for lack of a better term...) on the skin any area of my body that it stuck on for any length of time. I finally got it under control with De-Solve It as needed, but as for the cause of the gunk, I don't know why it stopped happening or what made my skin finally stop weeping like it did for so long. I am truly sorry that you are suffering like this...hang in there...

I would like to try the desolve. Where do you get it? I dont have stickiness w/this insted from my fingertips and palms is stuff that looks like tiny pieces of glitter. Of course I can't see it on my back too well or on my face but no doubt it is there. More fibers in hair than usual and the itchiness rages on unabated. I have never seen these tiny "sparklies before . The stinging is maddening.

Extreme itchiness is an indication of pancreas problems. Look up some of the symptoms of pancreatis ans be sure you do not match the other ones that go along with that .

I have never seen these tiny "sparklies before . The stinging is maddening. How long have you been sick? These were symptoms that I had in the very , very beginning stages of my illness. The stinging and biting, the glitter, the teeniest tiny fibers embedded within my own regular hairs...so small that I could only see them with my hand held. After I pull out a hair from my head, it's like they jump from it's newly lifeless strand like a rat jumping from a sinking ship. Do you have a microscope? I'm sure you do because who of us doesn't by now, right? Anyway, I'll bet you the glittery stuff looks more like super fine, micro sized crystalline granules. I know that is what most of us who went through the glitter phase discovered upon throwing them on a slide. As for the DeSolve It, you can buy it at places like Ace Hardware, Smart N Final, Walmart, True Value, Orchard Supply, etc. Here's the website ordering page in case you are the type who doesn't go out much like so many of us are...good luck with this... www.orange-sol.com/miva/merchant.mvc?

Would someone please tell me if this is the citris one you mean or the contractor? Mom is 89, how would you use this on her back which is terrible itchy. I don't want to give her to much.
Thank You for asking about this, I feel so horrible for her. My son had the same thing you describe with the itching and crystals/glitter. It went away when he started on Bactrum. I don't have any antibiotics, but this is probably the first year I've had more itching than I used to.

Jess I have had this since 2000 so Morgellons itself is nothing new to me. What is new is the huge area of my body is now itching and stinging all over and the stuff coming out of my palms. I do have fibers but these crystals and little sticker things are new as well as red blotches w/white spots and sunburned areas as well as some fake stretch marky areas. I had for many years good skin except for certain areas. Now it all looksinflamed, spotted and diseased. It has a bit of a translucent or waxy sheen to it as well. But I am really glad after shampooing w/ketacanazole shampoo it is only half as bad today. I also ordered some fungasoap wash, DSP creme and a couple other items. What I really need to do is address it internally I think. I do want to be sure as well that the spots aren't due to liver or pancreas issues. But really happy to get some relief of that stinging and itching

Thank You, it has helped him keep many of the symptoms under control. I'm going to get this shampoo and wash for mom and I and see if that helps her itching. Thanks for sharing what you are getting. I would have never thought to try this on mom's back.
