I have been making salves for almost a yr. now and has really helped me in getting the rest I need. I use it everynight and has greatly improved my skin and sleep. I work full time so if I have bad days I put on some comfy clothes and put on the salve as soon as I get home. At times I feel I can put it on before bed. These comfy clothes will get greasy so keep them separate from other clothes. Some people have used Vaseline and straight oil on skin. Google how to make salves and enjoy. Not every batch is the same with me as I may use this oil and not that oil, this powder and not that powder. Good to keep the little (things? ) on their toes.
Here's my mix: I usually get a pot and put a 1/8 water in it and put in a smaller glass bowl with bees wax (1/2 soap bar)in it first to melt.Try not to get water mixed with the oil so lower temp if water boils. Then mix in larger amount of oils like coconut, grapeseed, neem and jojoba. Take off stove once these oils are melted and mixed well. should come up to about maybe 2 cups or so.
Then add your drops of oils and powder while its still warm and melted... Lavender, orange, tea tree, cedarwood, eucalyptus, peppermint, wormwood, or whatever you have. As powder I may add a little alphafa or honey powder, just a tablespoonful. Mix while warm and then set it in the fridge for 10-20 mins and it should last a week or so.
I still use it everynight and my skin has improved and I can sleep through the nights..I even put it by my bedside for bad days in case I may need to rub on skin..
If you have another recipe on salves do share...thanks.
