UH oh!
Looks like there may be trouble in Paradise. The link to the San Antonio Newspaper that published this story has suddenly been pulled.
This story has already appeared on Rense.com and several other internet and mainstream hard copy sources. Don't know for sure what this means. Let's hope it's a broken server.
Will keep everyone posted!

Here's a different link to a story that mentions CDC "co-operation" as an aside. it also is a story well worth reading. Dr. Wymore's progress is mentioned as well. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to find out if the CDC story has been pulled or what exactly is up with the San Antonio Paper. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has launched an investigation into the skin condition called Morgellons disease.
Since a story about Morgellons first aired on KENS 5 Eyewitness News, the station has been inundated with e-mails and phone calls from the medical community and others how claim to have the symptoms described in the story. The story has received tens of thousands of page views on the MySanAntonio.com
The story was how Les Coble of Pleasanton found out he was not alone.
“God, I’m not crazy, there are other people with this,” Coble said.
Coble is covered with lesions and says he has the sensation of bugs crawling under his skin.

People have claimed fibers actually pop out of their skin.
“When one of those fibers come out, you just gotta get it out of you,” Coble said. “They're painful as anything."
The victims aren't the only ones who have seen the fibers. Ginger Savely has also seen the fibers. While working as a nurse practitioner in Austin, she has treated more than a hundred Morgellons patients.
“Little white fibers would come up and go down, come up and go down in the palm of his hand. I saw that myself,” Savely said of Coble.
Coble also has another strange symptom of this condition, a black tarry substance that oozes out of the lesions.
“Black, black and it just stunk,” Coble said.
He has seen nine doctors over five years. Like so many suffering from the condition, he was told it was all in his head.
Coble was actually diagnosed with delusional parasitosis, literally delusions of parasites in the skin.
The medical community does not recognize Morgellons. However, officials at CDC say they are taking Morgellons very seriously.
The CDC is forming a task force made up of "infectious and chronic disease experts, as well as environmental health and mental health doctors to investigate the condition known as Morgellons."

i wrote and asked where i could find the information regarding
the cdc starting a formal investigation.
i was just sent the sanantonio url of the story.
i haven't been able to find anything on the cdc site.

I doubt they would put it on their website just yet. If enough people ask why it's not mentioned there, they might but I still think their supposed investigation of this is mostly spin and damage control.

we've been writing to them for YEARS.
the eye thing just happened, theres a thread here on trying to figure out
how to piggback onto them

Now isn't it time to e-mail all of those news stations and ask them how the CDC is planning to respond to this epidemic? Isn't it their jobs to report this? Let's hold them accountable and push this issue and these questions hard. NOW while we have their attention. |

Sky, we cant. We're screwed. Unless some brilliant being arrives (but that would be you sky, so I dunno).
But what guest wrote above.....exactly do that! Write every newstation and enquire about
the CDC.....I know as Cliff stated and what this strand is about- that they are STARTING to
organize a task force.....Yet, what the stations tout on their broadcast is that one (investigation) is already going on......so I say email them.
I am and if I have any responses back I will certainly post it here.

I dont no if a task force . but i do no that they have people working on this . THEY had a big meeting the frist part of march . THEY just had a meeting with what ever DR S they have working on this about two week ago . so i am sure things are starting to be on there way . I think they were wating for the funding of the 2006 fy budget resolution . THE senate pass a version of it in mar 17 2005 . but who really knows that just my guess . god does anwer . preys he truley love us . take care god bless they are going to report this as soon as they come up with what ever they are working on so lets pray that they find out something soon. I have allso heard that th are going to take 40 to 50 people and do a case study . so maybe that what tHEY are doing . all the DR S they have envoled are top notch so we have to let them do what ever they are doing .and just hang in there . I though i read some where that DR wymore WAS GOING TO BE studying people so maybe that where the cdc is going to send the 40 to 50 people to i dont no just a guess . hang in there i think thing are on there way .. CDC mite not tell us ever thing but they are truley working on this . take care god bless
