why shouldn't people like Michael Moore -- because he was counterratacked by the whitehouse
spin-machine (aka Fox News) after he started showing people (who should have already known it)
that the Bush Administration is basically a criminal racket that has trashed the country and the constitution, put us in two losing wars with no sign of exit or chance of victory, rolled back civill rights and women's rights issues back to the 50's, and completely screwed over all but the most elite, while running
roughshod all over the electoral process and having the supreme court intervene to settle an election
in which there was clear race-based voter discrimination.
So what's not to like, daring to speak the truth in a fascistic political environment based on
a nonexistant "war on terror" where anytime you question the administration's foolhardy policies,
you're accused of "not supporting the troops"
When a person gets irrationally attacked to the degree that Michael Moore has been, they must be doing something right, as they're pissing off my sworn lifetime enemy, evangelical/born again christians and the "right wing." Similarly, Hillary Clinton's gotta be
pretty awesome simply because of the amount of spit and venom she generates among the pundits
of the radical right, aka Fox News.
the healthcare system is the least of our worries.... my worry is that they'll engineer another
"terrorist attack" just before the next elections so that everybody is insane with fear and will
vote for the first republican idiot that claims they'll smother you with their giant goose-stepping security blanket of fascist love. Or even better, they'll claim there's such a huge terrorist emergency that they'll have to postpone the upcoming elections and declare martial law until the threat passes.... so it's very
important to create an imaginary threat and an imaginary war so you can eradicate democracy
while pretending to preserve it -- because the "threat" from an imaginary war can be made to last
forever.
People seem to forget that more people die or receive terrible injuries on our nations roads than they
do from "terrorism"... why don't we have a "war on bad driving??"
