I've been on both boards for quite a while and wanted to pass this along to you. A long term sufferer, who is a regular on NUSPA, put together and posted this questionaire to gather everyone's input. She has been working on a DOP study, for all of us, for many moons. This sufferer's name is EH (Everyhopeful) and she is A-Okay, 100%. All the moderators should be able to vouch for her (I am making an assumption here, since I certainly can). Her questionaire is at the following URL: fs8.formsite.com/EHQuestionnaire/form183681485/index.htmlI have worked with her before, regarding this illness, and she is both trustworthy and professional. I would encourage everyone to fill this out, if you haven't already. Just FYI, I am not associated with this study, nor am I a physician, etc. She just needs more input, according to her posts, and I don't think she knew to put it here. If I am mistaken, and this has been posted previously, apologies. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Wonderful! More information and more focus on unidentified skin parasites/conditions! If you're in the mood for some survey-filling out.... I'd like to invite you again to my research study at www.arches.uga.edu/~sbione/ (caps sensitive). It's about 60 questions, through the entomology department of the University of Georgia. The purpose is to assess commonalities in skin conditions with people experiencing invisible, mysterious, or unknown skin parasites. Though the results may not benefit you, they will benefit people in the future by providing academic literature on the topic. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me (Sarah Bione) at 706-542-9033 or Sbione@uga.edu. Thank you!

I'm confused, is EH a person with DP or with a skin problem?

I'm confused too. The website states "Your input will be used as part of an effort to have "delusions of parasitosis" reconsidered as an appropriate diagnosis by the medical profession."
Is she wanting to validify the DOP diagnosis or refute it? Maybe the wording just has me reading it wrong.

She is a long term sufferer of this disease and is trying to put forth a paper/study to refute the DOP diagnosis. If you have any questions regarding the questionnaire she is a regular at NUSPA. She seems to be reading the posts, over there, regularly after taking somewhat of a hiatus.

That's interesting! EH, if you're around, from one research nerd to another, I'd be interested in your method of IRB approvals and if you have grant funding and where you plan to publish. I'm at Sbione@uga.edu
