This is Sarah Bione from the University of Georgia Entomology Department, conducting research on mysterious, invisible, or unidentified skin parasites. The research has been transformed and is now available online for your convenience, confidentiality, and personal comfort. If you previously participated, you are welcome to participate in this new online version. The study is 60 questions, and expected to take 30-45 minutes. The survey is confidential and anonymous, and in no way will your name be linked to your results. The purpose of the survey is to find commonalities in symptoms of people experiencing mysterious, invisible or unidentified skin parasites. Though there may not be direct benefit to you, it is intended to help people in the future by providing medical and academic literature. If you are interested in participating, the survey can be found at this website: www.arches.uga.edu/~sbione/If you have any questions or concerns, I am available 9-5:30 EST at 706-542-9033, or by e-mail at sbione@uga.edu. Sincerely, Sarah Bione Entomology, University of Georgia

Hello there now,
Bione is trying to help us. I ask her questions about what this report would include and why some who reported before were not let in on study. She said that she was looking for why the bugs were not looked at. She will look at samples you send. She is a bug person. The University of Georgia Extension service is a dept at the university that studies bugs, plants etc.
She sent me stuff on bug sprays, etc.
I think she really does want to help.

I HEARD THAT WE SHOULD NOT TALK TO HER.... You are not alone. Others heard the same. There are some who believe she is involved with another (sorry, don't know the name) who was/is quite ignorant in ref. to the reality of parasitation in many aspects. Her conclusion was something like if you can't see it it isn't there so you have to be delusional. My take on her work is this..... Since I believe the primary cause of Morgellons is a yet unidentified organisim not in any database, (specially in ref to entomology) how could she possibly help us? If we totally give up on the medical/scientific community because of our fear of being labled delusional then we get nowhere. All I can do is hope her thesis is so powerful that someone does take notice and look into WHAT THIS NOVEL organisim is and how it originated. Still hangin JJ

I took the questionaire, and I think it was good. I would have liked to answer many more though.
Hey, everyone. After clicking on that link, there is a link to send her emails. Send her your stories, I just sent her a letter. I think that has much more effect. It may help them come up with more questions.

I also took the questionaire and spoke to Sarah on the phone several times and she seemed quite compassionate and intent on finding out what is going on. Yes, she is a student, but I think she is very interested in helping to learn the cause of our illness. She seemed sincere in my opinion.

Hi this is Sarah Bione.
Thanks to those who have so far taken the study. I appreciate your time and hope the new online format was more convenient and comfortable for you.
I have now graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science and my research here is my full-time job -- to answer your questions and e-mails, and look at your samples (a free service to you through the county extension service), and conduct this research.
The research board at UGA requires "full disclosure" to approve any research here. Meaning, you must be fully informed of the reasons for research and topic of research when you take the any survey from UGA. Deception is not allowed at UGA when working with people as participants.
My email is Sbione@uga.edu, and of course you are welcome to write me with any questions, personal accounts, etc. I print, file, respond to, and keep every email and call I receive.

Sarah,
Did you receive Internal Review Board approval from UGA to do this work?
Thank you, Asking

She is very nice and has an interest in this. What do we have to lose? Worst case scenario is she doesnt figure it out, right?
Let her study this and see what her take is on it. The more people who become involved, the better chance we have of finding answers.
I took the survey...

I enthusiastically took the test. There were a few more questions that could have used an "Other" with a blank. I didn't feel like the terms given to describe the parasite were how I would describe it, so I used the "Other" on the next question to try and say what I thought.
I thought the drug question was interesting. About amphetamines and LSD. Due to the exhausing fatigue, I have considered using amphetamines because I still need to work from home and I sleep 12-16 hours a day. No natural remedy even makes a change except for like 4 Red Bulls. I've neer been so lethargic in my life!
