Hi Annie
It is thought that this may be a CO confection Of Lyme disease the Lyme disease weaken the immune system allowing the critters to get in to the skin UN checked from what I understand those people that are being treated for Lyme with high doses of anti bio tics are getting better
the main problem being that most all doctors haven't a clue and are not educated and prefer to go by the out dated Ekubum podadcal set apart in nineteen thirty eight that in a sense says that we are all nuts that there is no such thing as parasite that lives in the skin there are only Eco parasites like scabies and lice
Hopefully good news for you you haven been infested merely as long as allot of us and there are doctors sympathetic to our plight Mary at morgellons foundation (google) has a list of doctors that might be in your area So does Kerri and Patti the administrators on this board email them and tell them where you live and they may be able to help you find a doctor close to you and fill you in on the peticulars
personally if the Doctor that your seeing now thinks your nuts I would not waste any more money on him find a doctor that thinks out of the box This is real and is only a figment in pompous doctors imagination Wishing you well ---ant

Hi Annie,
Welcome to the board & sorry you have to be here.... You have probably read a bit more of the message board by now, and thats probably where the best advice is. You can find out which symptoms you relate to & what people have tried & whats working for them.... Hope you find some releif soon... wishing you well.... I like vinegar washes for releif on the scalp. A lot of people feel they have it under control, after building there immunities & eating well.... If you have only been suffering for a few months, maybe a change there may help you.
Take care....

Annie,
Welcome to the Message Board. At this time there are some different theories concerning the cause of Morgellons. It's commonly believed that it is a coinfection of Lyme Disease. Doctor Schwartz believes it is caused by Stenotrophomonas maltophilia infection. Doctor Martin believes that it may be caused by Stealth Viruses. And Doctor Amin believes that his patients have had an allergic reaction to dental sealants. The verdict isn't in yet, but most of the people seem to believe that parasitical infections are caused by opportunistic pathogens. I suggest that you do a lot of reading before attempting to self-medicate, and in the meantime I suggest that you do what you can to boost your immune system. You may also choose to be tested for Lyme Disease.
Respectfully Yours, Bugs Alive
