I would have to say garlic really does help with this. It did me.
Just a few things though that I wanted to mention:
Try and use fresh garlic over the pills. Although the pills work somewhat they are not as effective.
Try and ingest either by putting on your salad or in your foods, every day. If not, every other day, until you feel better. If you can stand uncooked garlic, I would imagine it is better than cooked.
It is really important, that when you chop it up, crush it so that the oils are dispersed. It is the oils in garlic that are what help this.
I know this may sound crazy, but slice the garlic, and then put slices within the slice (so that the oils are released) .
Also, again, I know this may also sound crazy, but exercise, take a steam bath, etc. to sweat - so that this really goes through to your skin pores. I really noticed a big difference, believe it or not, when I took a lot of garlic, and the next day was an extremely hot day - where I sweated perfusely. It almost seemed like the garlic went right through to my skin pores. The next day my symptoms really went down (and, in fact, stayed down).
Of course, if you notice any sensitivity while doing any of these things (because I believe garlic is strong) - just stop.
This, of course (because of the smell) may be unpleasant to others, but, I am sure they would understand, that what you have endured with your symptoms has been far worse.

I'm not sure how this message board is supposed to work, but I am going through all of these same things and I was just wondering if any of you have had any luck with a specific diet. I am not sure what I can and can not eat. If any of you have any answers then please let me know

I was just wondering if anyone else had any symptom relief by using garlic as I did.
Again, use fresh garlic (every day or every other day) and crush it so the oils are released. Try and take as much as you can tolerate.
And, again, I couldn't believe the difference when I took a large amount of it and then the next day it was excrutiating hot outside and I had been sweating profusely - I could actually almost feel the garlic going through to my skin pores. The next day I was about 75% better. So, I would suggest eat a lot of this stuff, and try and get into a steam bath, or exercise to sweat. (Only do what you know you can handle.)

Garlic is is vary good but don't rely on it as a cure also eating any thing thats anti parasitic mustard horseradish onions lots of sage or oregano and other pungent herbs Incorporated in your food you get the Idea A low carb no sugar diet is what homeopaths prescribe for parasitic infection (google) The low carb no sugar diet it is pretty bland So I would compensate always with pungent herbs In replace of the sugar I would cook with fruits and fruit juices (the healthy sweetener) apple lemon orange lime prune? LOL" what ever goes with what ever Actually the food tasted better that way than if it was cooked with sugar -- the regular way I use to cook so be creative Taking probiotic's to bolster your digestive bacteria in your digestive tract so that you better able to absorb the healthy foods that you eat' it will go a long way to improving your immune system cats-claw I have found to be about the best all around herb you can take to relieve symptoms I have been experimenting with infrared light and am having some good results thats it that all I have to say today ;D
