Hi Victoreah: Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone when dealing with claims about disability. I was qualified for an early retirement because I was 50 and had 30 yrs seniority, plus I had always taken the max amount for disability (which wasn't cheap)so I thought everything was set. Now I find out they want to re-evaluate and give me a lawyer to fight for ss disability. My claim is on depression which seems to get better results than any of the physical complaints I have. Yeah I do have anxiety and fatigue but it is because no one takes the physical complaints seriously. Just a suggestion if you have any time off in the future.

Victoreah: I am in Ill. so I'm not sure about your state laws, but there is a Federal Disabilities Act that was passed when Clinton was in office and a lot of bussinesses don't make this well known. It would probably be worth checking in to. The more you educate yourself about your rights and inform the disability providors that you are aware of the laws. Since you are feeling better I hope you can find the strength to win the battle. They prey on the weak. I think Bush is trying to repeal the laws but hasn't succeeded as of yet.

It's amazing how our government says it promotes families, but contridicts itself by the policies it follows. They talk about babies born out of wedlock but yet won't help with med bills if mother is married. My husband considered getting a divorce when our boys were applying for student loans because you only have to claim one income. And now if you are a single woman you can get health care. If it would make a big difference in your health I would write up my own divorce and have a legal union agreement. Marriage is what's in your heart not on a piece of paper.

Vic...sorry about the disability, but we'll take the good health, eh?? And pray about the rest. and as far as the disability goes, our system is so far out of wack...Jesus fed the five thousand with the fish and loaves and parted the red sea, water from wine...listen, He can handle what you give Him any old day. Just have faith and watch.
This is wonderful! I'm telling you, we're getting well, too. I feel better and better each day. When those friends first told us about the glycos, I thought, honestly, "Yeah, right. Another product peddler." But good grief, is the proof in the pudding, or what?! You could be a success story for them now.
To all else, you can contact us for ordering info...Vic, are you an associate? If do, I don't mean to take your orders, which could definitely help you during this time.
We just recently became associates (since all this) so we could get some serious discounts on our products. It is expensive, but I grew up poor, so I am resourceful. You cut out something else, replace it with generic, perhaps, and /or sell what you can. I mean it; it's worth it. Anyway, hope everyone will look into it. I want everyone to be well. We take the Ambrotose AO, two in the morning, and two in the evening. Also, we take the plus for endocrine health.

Jodyann!
I know that if you cannot afford the insurance, and it was provided through medicaid earlier, that you CAN get insurance only. I don't know exactly how the appeal is accomplished, keep asking questions, it will be "income contingent" but only to some degree, not the absolute -0- required to get the monetary benefits through SSI.
You need to show you are unable to afford your medical care, and you need to show you are unable to pay for your own insurance policy.

I saw Senator Tom Larkin(D) from Ohio on TV today and he was discussing Roberts(supreme court nominee). Larkin is concerned that Roberts will vote to revoke Federal Disabilities Act so we need to keep ours eyes and ears open to make sure this doesn't happen. It is so important we stay informed on what our congressmen are for and against so when is time for their re-election we can make a wise decision. They can say anything in their campaigns but their voting record tells the real story and it is availabe online at anytime.

I am so glad they are letting these political posts remain on the board. SO glad.
How is this concept going to collide with the what do they call it.. New Freedom initiative??
