I am just wondering if anyone else, in the progression of this flippin disease has experienced spontaneous remission, or a discontinuation of symptoms for no apparent reason? I know what i was experiencing before was not all in my head, as I had collected a ton of samples no different from what many peoiple with morgellons describe. I am, however, currently without symptoms and have been so for almost a month. Trust me, I am not looking this gift horse in thhe mouth, and I pray that it remains this way, but i am curious if anyone else has gone through periods, long periods, where no symptoms appear whatsoever. Thanks, J.J.

Out of curiosity, has there been a weather pattern change where you are? It's finally starting to dry out here and I've been WAY better.

Hey JJ and Chemist,
I was in "remission" for eleven years. I attributed the first infection to a problem at my workplace. Once I left, I healed. This second infection started with my kids who I must have passed it on to. My three-year-old had recurrent stomach issues, and "it" exploded into the whole fibery mess for me and my two youngest kids this winter--that's when I found the Morgellons site. I've had mild skin symptoms for the last eleven years; mild enough to ignore. I didn't realize until now that the tiredness, depression, and adhd (my students told me I was hyper) were probably indications of the disease all along. I guess people can have the disease without the fibers. Or, the fibers may be so minor they are barely noticeable. My point is to say that it is always with you whether or not you see it, but then again, so may be many other medical issues that have yet to expose their ugly faces.
Take Care, Linda

I couldn't agree more Linda. Until the medical field learns more of what is going on at the molecular level, they will continue to just treat the symptoms and not the cause and as such we may never fully get over this. The good news is that with advancements in science (and yes, believe it or not - much of that will be genetic related), that will turn around soon.
Keep the faith!

This disease sucks the energy right out of you---it deplets the minerals of the body, calcium-teeth desolve -connective tissue -spine and back problems--it has the capacity to eat you up. eye problems etc.
I have no bad leisions or sores but those scrapes and bumps take longer to heal. Scalp infection is the worst of all.. and sleep cycles are really messed up. Cold feet--itchie legs--low thyroid. Last week I was bitten or stung by a very small gnat like fly --the itch was horrable and lasted for days---the areas that I had scratched were full of black worms and clear fibes. These small flies are horrable, I would rather be stung by a hornet as it goes away after a reasonable time but not these bites,,,I looked at the bug with my 30X scope and it looked as if it was using and ovapositer on me--blood sucker or laying eggs.. It acted much like chiggers do---I think all of these insects can pass or vector the disease.
I have heard of no spontanious remissions as of yet.If any one has had one it must be attributed to some life style changes. Sooo, what were you doing when it went away. Smoking pot? LOL
