Went to a dr. appt. yesterday and saw what turned out to be a sympathetic doc. Dr. Bravata Ganguly. He is from India, and has, as he put it, "...seen parasites you would never imagine."
That was certainly encouraging. At first he said that these kinds of things just didn't live in the U.S. ...but then he finished with, "But things are changing."
He examined me and two of our girls with a black light, and asked a lot of questions. He looked for quite a time at the specimens I (bravely yet cautiously) brought in. He didn't look at them under a scope (disappointing), but he did study them, and ran some copies of them...perhaps just to pacify me??
Well, anyway, the last thing he said was that he needed more than fifteen minutes to think about this (PRAISE GOD!). He was leaving for the wknd, and is suppose to call me next week. He told me that he would carefully consider all this, and that he would "by no means consider any of this trivial." (He works with my best friend at a local hospital, and she had been telling him about all this, and he finally said, "I want to see her in my office next week." ...so he knew I was scared to see a doc.)
Finally, as I was leaving, I got up the courage to hand him the folder with ALL the research I have ever done on this (a whole two months worth...some of you will laugh, as you look at your libraries!). I said, "Do me a favor. You don't have to read it, but just humor me and take it from me." He smiled broadly, nodding, and said, "I will look at it." Somehow I believed him. I pray he will.
Oh, another couple things: He said he believed we had an 'incidental parasite" (parasite which came from another bug), and that he wanted to do fungal testing. Yea! he's on our same path of research! I have said these very things all along. I am hopeful.
Although...right after he impressed me so, he prescribed
Cefzil for my infant daughter...which has both red no.3 and aspartame in it. So, if she doesn't get cancer or a deteriorated brain, perhaps she'll get over the ear infection (which is probably caused by fibers, if you ask me!!!) Sorry...we are all-naturale in our home. Organic and no chemicals if at all possible.
OK, so that's my news. Thanks for listening. All friendly comments are welcome!
