OK...I just saw that former posting...Northeast Texas is where we are. I can understand your frustration. I also understand people being a little leary of telling too much to 'strangers' over the 'net. Does our general location help you at all???

hg, don't take it personally. There have been quite a few people who have come and gone over the years, that have tried to help in this manner as well. Some were legit and others ended up being hurtful. I think that many who suffer with this disease are not always comfortable sharing personal information. Although your intentions are good, it's hard to know who you can trust from over the internet. I think the mystery surrounding this unknown/unidentified organism doesn't help much either.
If you have people that you think can help us, how about giving them the morgellons site to view?www.morgellons.org They can communicate with Mary and she can answer any questions. Maybe that will help some in your endeavor.

Lisa, I would like to know what your schedule is, and if you could 'chat' sometime... I have some ..er.. 'personal things' I need to ask someone, concerning dealing with Morgellons and wondered if-- being female--you might be willing to listen. (I know this is weird...but who else would you ask??) In the meantime, tell me, do you still attend corporate worship?? (I remember you said you didn't think it was contagious.) Gary had to preach Sunday, so he went and just kept his distance from everyone, didn't touch anyone. But I am too afraid to take the children. It would be hard to keep others from touching them, and visa versa... Man, what a freaked out situation...

Also, Orion...Just curious, what was your "something BIG"?? Do you know? I feel knowing could be significant to our plight.

Sure, I would love to talk to you. Believe me....I know all about the female aspect to all of this, especially the menstrual.
We moved to this area in October and haven't found a church around here we like. We came from one that is genuine and all of the ones around here are watered down, fake, and clueless as to whats going on in our country. I quit working with the children at the other one, but just going to the service I thought was alright. I didn't feel comfortable though, if I had any open sores.
If you want to talk on the phone, I have lots of minutes and can call you.

Ok, ItchingnTexas, here. Again, today, this thing is refusing to acklowledge my log-in. Anyhoo, I would love to talk as well. How do we go about this?? Oh well, I'll give you my email and we'll start there. Doesn't scare me too bad to post that... it's ghhnba@valornet.com We do long distance on our cell, too, so no problem, either way. I certainly appreciate it. Hey, did you read the "schwartz" posting?? Encouraging!

hg,
Coming to you from West Michigan, but, I did visit Ca. in 1991. We moved here just after my trip to CA. So, I do not know if it began here or out there. Moved to West Michigan shoreline after living in Central Michigan area. Have always lived in Michigan. I began this morgellons in 1991. According to MSU tick investigator, ticks are on the rise in Holland area, so is cylindrospermosis and mycocystins in lakes. Whether this is contagious or not, I do not know, but I do believe that my mother had this. She lived near deltas in Antioch, CA. Before that lived in Livermore near Livermore Labs. Before 1975 she and we lived in Upper Michigan below the bridge, hence, trolls. Hehe. Hope this gives you some locations where this has been or could be. It is hard to organize on here but keep at it. Check on the Sarah Bione web too, she is doing bug studies. She is at the Univ of Georgia. Under the Lyme General Board is the info Sarah gives us. Mysterious/Invisible/Unidentifiable skin parasites thread.

Also, Orion...Just curious, what was your "something BIG"?? Do you know? I feel knowing could be significant to our plight. ==-=-== LOL, That something BIG left a redish blue leision about the size of a nickle on my left cheek below the eye...I've been sick ever since (1991) I've even considered the possibility of a bat bite... What ever it was it had to be big to leave that wound.

Dude! Eeeww! Maybe it WAS a bat! Hey, speaking of "something BIG"s... Does anyone else on here live where there are those huge water bugs?? These are sometimes called "willy roaches", but aren't, because they don't get into food, like roaches. They just try to get to water...I have always heard they don't bite, but yet in my child's insect book it tells that troipcal ones (HUGE) eat small fish!!! So, I'm just wondering, if perhaps this is carried by water bugs. Thie is total and complete sepculation, and all I'm really interested in is a cure, but ... ? Another tidbit...We have found, in the kids' room, these elecric blue insects, with wings and a LONG stinger. They look like a cross between a fly and a wasp...and they also look exactly like the tiny bugs we found on us, except much, much larger. Just curious, but has anyone else found these in your home??? We have truly begun thinking that this may be associated. Thoughts, anyone? Even if to say I'm nuts??

Well, now we have something else we can talk about too. It's been a while since I've looked at any type of insect under the scope, but last night I just had to. It appeared that there was a good chance it came off of me. I looked at two tiny ones. They don't match anything I've ever seen. One of them had a deep red on/in the belly....not sure if it was blood or not, a solid black head with a stinger type thing and jagged razor edges, wings and long amber colored legs. The other looked similar, but had super long segmented antennas. I'll have to take pictures with the big scope.
I'll email you tomorrow.

Lisa, crazy! I don't know what the heck we all have, or if we even all have the same thing. We also live in a town where they've actually had to send out water notices...to say how bad it is, and that it's unsafe...that it could cause cancer. So move, right?? Unless you can't afford it! The water's another source for all this which wouldn't surprise me in the least. And you know, the source wouldn't matter so much, but MAN, I don't want to get it again if we EVER get rid of it!...You know what else? I am a really sucky typist. I just looked at that last entry, and it sure didn't look like anyone with any intellect wrote it, LOL. Perhaps I will even be vain enough to edit the posting. See what this is doing to my brain?? As if I wasn't crazy enough already??? hahaha

PowerHouse House & Garden also seems to help getting rid of cat fleas. I checked my family tree and on the Wehr side three of them were burn at the stake as being werewolves (Wehrwolves) I thing I inherited the traits because fleas sure do love me.

Lisa, if you are still around here,
The long black segmented antenae ones are what my girlfriend got off of my arm when this whole thing started. I have started to think they were just the vectors, but now I wonder. If you find out anything more, please let us know.

Collembola have long segmented antenae and have been implicated in 18 out of 20 delusionary parasitosis patients in the recently released "Oklahoma Study".

Interesting. I still have one on a slide - was told by a doc that it was a mite. Close enough relative or not? I could not identify the mite - like thing. Spider mite would be closest, but not quite.

Can you get a digital image? If it's a mite I can probably tell you.

Chem,
Wish I could - I need to be able to magnify it and scan it? I'd hand it off to a more tech savy friend to figure it out, but I'm afraid to tell him what it is and why I want the image. I'll work on it. Makes it more difficult that it is not properly mounted - stuck it on with tape, b/c that's what it was taken off me with.

General reply to comments of several people: Lyme test- I've heard the Boman test is fairly good.
For environmental spray I'm using Safe2use environmental cleaner with peppermint--it helps and I think it is pretty safe. I also can use it on my scalp at times. It also helps iin the car.
I currently spray perioxide (diluted) under fingernails where I have had a parasite as part of this whole syndrome. Have the phone number of a homeopathic practioner who has helped me with an internal tea to drink. In addition I do agree that changing the ph balance to more alkaline helps the body even though I've started to fall down here--was drinking "green drinks"regularly before. Wonder why everyone talks about the c
omputer area being a problem. Is it just that we spend time in that spot or is there something about the computer that provides an attraction? Think we need a list of symptoms people experience to help get some structure and organization to describing the problem and maybe a vehicle to present to medical community or researcher. Betsy
