hi there- I seem to have joined the world of magellonites except for the fact no doctor can really diagnois what it is that I have. I feel as though I have gone crazy. I have open lesions that no doctor can explain, itchy skin beyond the normal itch, skin that weeps a sticky substance, strange fibers coming out of my skin, and much more. Can anyone relate to the doctors making you feel like you are nuts? One doctor at the UCI medical center told me to put a bandaid on when I get a fresh sore and come back in 4-6 weeks. Can anyone advise where to start in all of this? Please don't tell me to put a bandaid on it- (it doesn't really work) Also I was told to quite being vain that the discoloration in my skin had nothing to do with the sores.
I know that none of you know me, but if you did you would say that I really am desperate because I've never done this internet stuff before.
Thanks for any info-
Bridget ;

Yes Bridget, we all can relate to this. Most doctors are years behind where infectious diseases are concerned and they don't seem to want to learn. But with this disease emerging more and more everyday, I think their behavior will be changing soon. We've already come so far in the last year and we now have many qualified professionals who are reasearching this.
If you would like to find a Lyme doctor in your area, please email me and I'll see what I can do.
Hang in there and keep the faith!

Thanks for any info- Bridget ; -=-=-=-=-=- Bridget:: I joined the rankes about a month ago...I fear this maladie is more than skin deep but in the meantime try boiling out with hydogen peroxide and putting oil of oregano (wild) on the leasions... This has helped me. This week I get tested for lyme disease--you might consider this also. If you can get a 30X hand held microscope to monitor your condition do so. I have no idea where all this will take me but any fantastic finds will be reported here or on the morgellons board. I find the black hair like nematode and eggs in my ears--in my nose and tear ducts and on my scalp. The nematode has a symbiotic relationship with the bacteria that produces the filliments or fuz. This is the reason I say it is more than skin deep. It is a bacterial infection as well. Do every thing you can to punch your immune system up..a diet of raw food and a good mineral suppliment is advised. Vitamin C and believe it or not, salt. I have also incorporated quinine in my regimin--you can get it in the beverage dept of your favorite grocery stoor---Canada Dry Tonic Water //if you don't do sugar than it comes with saccherin. NO, the sacchrin will not give you cancer...it is the safest sugar substatute on the market other than Stevia, Hang in there and educate yourself as much as possible..knowledge is power..

I may not know you but feel I do because I can say I know exactly how you feel and mean it. I am going through the same frustrating thing. I am not resonding with answers on what to do next because I myself don't know. I just wanted to let you know that I have the same thing you describe with other symptoms I'd rather keep to myself for fear of sounding crazy. It's like something I'd expect from X-Files or something. I've thad this for 2 1/2 years with no answers and I go through phases months at a times where I sleep 20 hours a day and only stay awake the other four because I force myself to. I am no Dr. but common sense tells me that a healthy person should not be able to sleep that much even if they tried. Maybe for a day or two bt not for a month. I am told I am perfectly healthy and that my skin is playing tricks on me. Hard to beleive they can conclude that I am perfectly healthy when not one of the Dr. (about 10 of them) have ever taken blood, not once in this two and a half year period. My next move is going to the hospital emergency department and insisting that something is wrong and I am not leaving until I get answers or at least some attempt at trying like blood tests a full physical etc. let's hope I don't end up in a straight jacket or handcuffs. I don't get it. I am covered and I mean covered and yet it's suppose to be my imagination. I've often been tempted to ask if I can examine the certificate they have on the wall to make sure it isn't from a cracker jack box. You are not alone. Just stay strong and don't believe what you know not to be true. By this I mean if you know it's not your imagination then don't be fooled into beleiving it. Question instead the doctor. It's your health (or lack of ) and your life. Keep looking for answers. The only thing some days that gives me hope is the thought that someday somewhere someone will not only listen but beleive me and also seek answers. How can so many people with the same symptoms and making the same claims be delusional. I am starting to realize that many if not most doctors out there cannot say "I don't know" or "I have no idea" or "I've never heard of this before" and then seek answers. They tend to think they know everything therefore if they don't have an answer it's easier to say it doesn't exist. God forbid they don't know something. Makes you question their motives as a doctor. (Salary only and not to help people who have an illness get better) Anyway I apologize for going on and on but as you can well understand, I am sooo... frustrated.

Welcome! Please email Patti or myself for a Lyme Literate Dr closest to you. They seem to be at least willing to spend the time needed and look into this. Many have come back Lyme positive for some reason. Patti = Lymebusters@yahoo.com Kerry = Lymebusters@webtv.net
