Hello Kathryn,
I'm so sorry for your situation. Don't be intimidated, unless there is someone who wants to see you lose your kids (like an ex who doesn't want to pay support, or an exceptionally cruel neighbor, or if your kids were causing extreme problems within the school system) it would not likely happen. They don't have the facility to house children they have already removed from homes now, so it would have to be a lot more drastic than just a theory that you are not mentally stable to have that drastic of a step taken.
Honestly, if there is food in the house and you know who the president is and the day of the week.. this is about all it takes to say you are fit.
Only if there is an onery ex, out to tip the support payments by regaining the children, I think you have nothing to worry about.
Good luck and hang in there,
specueLatin'

Kathryn,
I'm so sorry for what you are going through.....it's bad enough for us adults but when kids are involved it hurts so much more. Have you registered at Morgellons yet? Registering will help them to keep a more accurate account of those infected (especially kids) and will assure you of getting on the list for updates from their foundation. I encourage you to do this right away.
I believe there is another member here in your area....her name is Candy and if you register, you will be able to send her an instant message, maybe the two of you could even talk by phone. In the Morgellons Support category on our main page, there is a message from her in the Jacksonville support group thread. She says to contact Lori at your county health department and let her know of your situation. I am assuming Lori is still looking for people with this disease but if you contact Candy, you could find out for sure.
Just hang in there and do all you can to keep your health up so you will be able to take care of your children. There are a lot of tips on this forum about what people are doing to help themselves get better. Just know that what works for one may not work for another but keeping your system running at optimum level is always very important. Anything that helps to boost your immune system can only be good for you.
Please try not to be discouraged.....I know that's easy for me to say but there are many dedicated people working diligently to help all of us and I trust that they will succeed in their efforts. Keep your faith and know that when things look their darkest, we are always here for you. Whenever you need to talk we are here and there is always someone with great compassion in their heart to help you. Aside from an absolute cure for this, I think getting support from others is the best thing for all of us.
Keep us posted on how things are going, and God bless you and your children!
Hugs, Patti

;D Everything will be okay. I will always be there by your side, and anyone else that needs support. I love you mom and I wont let this take you over more then it has. I believe that we ALL will find our own cure by telling each other what has helped us so far. Putting all our own cures together could possibly work and fight them off. We ALL will survive. Just hang in their and keep up your great work.
Your loveing daughter Heather

Heather, u r a great daughter! Your Mother will still worry though. But, with u being as old as u r and understanding is going to be a great help. She is lucky to have u, both of u keep up the good work. This makes all of us angry, my children have this too so I know how your Mother feels. God Bless and feel free to talk with me. 660-543-7042 Love, Glenda

Kathryn, please don't despair, I am in the same boat, but I get so much comfort from this board, I read it daily. We were watching tv the other day and my youngest saw the previews for a new show called Miracle Makers or Three Wishes or something like that, where they come to your town and make your wishes come true. She said, I wish they'd come to our town. I smiled and said, what would you wish for? Without missing a beat, she said, for you to get well. I wanted to cry but just said me too honey, me too. We always talk about what we will do when I get well and that lifts our spirits and makes us feel like normal life will be possible again. I cling to that hope even though hubby thinks I am DOP and is making me go to a psychiatrist. I even have to be the one to call and make an appt. b/c he's too lazy or busy. I have spent $2K and going to have to borrow money to buy herbs or antibiotics if I can't convince my NP to continue my Flagyl and zithromax. I have also lost 50 lbs. from gi probs related to this. I am so worried my kids have it or are in the "incubation stage". My little one especially and hubby won't let me treat them. I am thinking of having them tested for Lyme even though I tested negative. Can you try the vitamin c and salt? As long as their fluid intake is high those are both water solulable. Kids never get enough B either. B1 is supposed to be a flying insect repellant. Do they like salsa? Chop some fresh garlic up, add it and serve it everyday for an after school snack with tortilla chips (I eat this at every meal). You could add a bit of cilantro or velveeta if they need a change. Also menthol cough drops and synthetic clothes. I have been letting my little one swim alot and I think it is helping. Quick showers and no petroleum. Also have you tried collodial silver? I think it may be cheaper off the net. That can be diluted and used to rinse ears and eyes. Cut their nails short and no biting! I am going to try external castor oil, even though mine are deep inside. I wash everyone's clothes in Borax and/or ammonia whether they like it or not and dry for 60-70 mins, so I buy large knowing this will shrink clothes. One poster is getting relief from the nosquito machines in her house. If you have the time and effort, some people bag up their clean clothes to keep them unifected and seperate. Mop with ammonia, that is helping. I'd like to bomb the house with it! One person says in the winter they leave the house for a few days with all the windows open to freeze the buggers out. Could work. I have read that neosporin + pain relief cream under nails at night is helpful. All these things are non toxic and could make a difference. Depending on their age, you could let them dye their hair. I noticed an improvement in the crawling when I did, prob. because of the ammonia. Some people say the menthol crystals in the electric diffusers work, or salted water fountains in your living room and maybe theirs? Is your husband supportive? That can really make the difference. I would make so much progress not having to fight him. Keep your chin up, I try to get my tears out during the day so their life can be normal as much as possible. I have also taken the time to say everything I want to say just in case. They know they are loved and cared for and a mother can't do any better than that. You are not alone, Kathyrn, please know that.
