Anyone have problems with kidney pain?
My daughter was drinking dandelion tea (daily) and developed what her doctor thinks is a kidney infection. Thing is, the little "stones" that she passes are not white (as in kidney stones).
The doctor's nurse pointed out the above.
BTW, she has Lyme.
Any ideas?

I did a liver flush and passed dark green stones which would have been gall stones I beleive. It took a few days and I drank a concoction of burdock, pokeroot. yellow dock and hyssop as a tea. The pain stopped after a few days. And I drank plenty of lemon and water.

Thanks for the input, Taratula.
Lemon water is always helpful. I'll look into the burdock, etc, as well.

Yeah, some nurse is right Guest. I see all the various colors of kidney stones (shades of white?)- lol On a follow up visit yesterday, the doctor's "Gatekeeper" told my daughter that the referring doctor did not send the referral so the previous visit (and current visit) would not be paid for by insurance. She said that was the patient's responsibility- not the referring doctor's- to get the referral paperwork into the hands of the specialist. She gave a mini lecture about responsibility. I chimed in that "yes, the referring doctor and her staff are evidently not responsible people and didn't follow up by sending the referral". That went well. I might add that my daughter had 2 health insurance providers at the time of the first visit and now this receptionist was telling my daughter that she would have to pay for the 2 visits. Not with me present. These days the medical staff seems to do all that they can to embarrass you before you even see the doctor. Turned out that the office staff called the referring doctor and was told that the referral had been emailed and not sent snail mail. Evidently the sharp tongued Gatekeeper found the email and the appointment continued per usual. Looks like the staff dropped the ball on the referral. Nevertheless, no apology was forthcoming- just "have a seat". It's nice to be treated in such a warm and caring manner when you are not feeling well. The doctor gave my daughter a batch of strainers and send her home after asking a few questions. No exam. Thanks for the pictures, Guest. Good info !

But what about things in the urine that we can see ourselves? Does anybody have this like I do?
And that uric acid and calcium oxalate sure look familiar too, like the black things some of us find coming out of other places. I know it's not the same but from microscopic views, it does look a lot like it.

I agree Angie- I've had my share of little specks in the toliet bowl. Usually it's one here and there. I haven't had that for quite a while. Of course when I say that, I'll have it tomorrow.
