Hi Gang,
I haven’t posted for a bit, but as always, I appreciate your valuable input. My wife started IV rocephin about 2 weeks ago and I am looking for information on what to expect. We have to go into the hospital every day to get it done because of bureaucratic B.S. about homecare in our city. Anyway, at least we can get treatment. She is getting massive (like 10 out of 10) headaches that begin before the IV is even finished. They last for a couple of hours where she lays in complete darkness and moans until it subsides. Anyone else have this happen? She has other side effects as well: diarrhoea, full body pain, intestinal burning and gas (no yeast though) etc. Just wondering what else might happen while we go through this.
I hope you are all doing well.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! And as always, thank you.
Todd

Nice to hear from you again Todd, hope your Christmas was a good one.
I've never taken the ceftriaxone myself but I haven't heard other users complain about headache problems.....I would think those giving her the treatment would have some insight into the major discomfort she's experiencing. It could be a reaction to the drug but generally I don't think that's very common.
I'm inclined to think she might be herxing and experiencing these symptoms due to bacteria die-off....if so, the intensity should be starting to fade after two weeks. If she has a LLMD, perhaps you could call just to make sure it isn't another problem that needs to be addressed.
The board is pretty slow now but I'm sure someone who has used this protocol will come along and can give you first-hand advice. I hope that this will ease up for your wife, it must be a terrible thing to look forward to daily. Tell her to hang in there and hopefully we can offer more advice to you in the next couple days. Best of luck to you both!

Hello Todd, I'm sold on the Marshall Protocol. I'm sorry to bring this thread to your attention now that I read your wife is on a treatment program, etc. I'd noticed a new post here, and then ran across some info at www.marshallprotocol.com that happened to bring up this drug, snatched it up and brought it over here. THEN read your post, so FWIW to you at this point, here is Dr. Marshall's comments on this antibiotic: www.marshallprotocol.com/forum32/1154.htmlPerhaps it will be of some use. Good luck. spec
