How To Imbed Photos
This is another function that Lymebusters has a shortcut for which is located just above your message window. But in order to use this function, you first must have your photo stored at a hosting site so you can link back to it.
Be sure to use photos that aren't over 500 pixels in size, and if you are imbedding more than one it's best to resize them to 350-400 pixels.
Several of the photo hosting sites used by Members here include:
Simpload
www.simpload.com/index.php
PhotoBucket
photobucket.com/
My Net Images
www.mynetimages.com
Image Shack
www.imageshack.us/
First you need to register, then download the photo from your computer into your account. They will give you the direct link to the image and you need to copy it.
Go to your message window and click on the little picture frame, fourth icon over in the row just above all the smilies. You will then insert the link you have copied inbetween the code displayed from the icon. This code is [/img] and you would place your curser between the two middle brackets, then paste your link there. This particular code is easy to remember but the picture icon will always be there to use in case you ever forget.
Most of these photo hosting sites keep the pictures you download for a specified number of days, so keep an eye on your account and "re-download" any photos that may be running out of time.
Adding a Photo (Avatar) Beneath Your Name
Download your photo to a hosting site, following the above instructions and copying the direct link they give you.
Go to your Profile, click on Modify Profile, and scroll down to the word Avatar - make sure the box next to it says None. The next option is Avatar URL, which is where you will place this link you just copied. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Modify Profile, then it will take you back to your Profile page where your picture should show up beneath your Username.
Keep in mind that depending on the size of picture you download, it may or may not show up the way you wish (i.e., if there is any text within your photo it might be too small to read).
