Dear God, I ask that this be a day of miracles. Let those that are in their darkest hour see you. Give them hope. Give them reassurance that there's so much more to life than what's here on earth. Remind them that this is just temporary and You are what's true, what's real, and what matters.
Give us strength and wisdom. I pray especially for the children. Ease their symptoms and fear. God bless the families with this that are trying to keep it together. Give them laughter and love amid their suffering.
For the unbelieving family, friend or physician, I ask that you unharden their hearts and give them compassion.
Thank you Lord for the opportunity to meet other sufferers. If it is your will, deliver us from this plague. Give us all a continuing will to fight.
In Jesus Christ name I ask these things

Lisa, what a sweet and beautiful prayer. In respeonse to your email--yes. I will glady add a prayer...
Heavenly Father, I thank you for this day. I thank you for the breath you have granted each of us. The book of Job in Your holy word tells us that You alone are the Giver and Taker of life. Let us humbly bow before your throne as you deal mercifully with each of your own---knowing fully what is in our best interest. Help us to remember that You can see all, past, present, future...and eternally, where we cannot see.
Let those of us who are Yours thank you that our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life, and that no one can snatch us from your hand. Not in life; not even in death. For you, oh Lord, have won your victory over hell and the grave. Praise be unto your name.
And for those who know you not, work the good pleasure of your will in those who will know you. May the Holy Spirit come unto those and fill them up, as they see You for the first time, with new eyes. ...Without presuppositions, without anger, without resentment, without fear, experiencing your love and forgiveness which comes through admitting we are not good or worthy, but sinful. Help them as they work their way through the sea of false Christians to those who truly belong to you and would be used of you to love them!
I thank you, Lord, that I and others like me have been counted worthy to suffer, knowing Jesus the Christ also suffered. Father Yahweh, if it would be your will, we desperately beg of you --we cry out--that you remove this affliction. If not from us, then from our children. We beseech you that you would guide our hands, our feet, and our minds as we search for a cure. Let us remember you could likely use one of us to accomplish such a task... For You choose the simple to confound the wise (Corinthians). Let those of us who are believers in the Christ be a light unto the world, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven, as we thus fulfill our lives' purpose.
We thank you for our food, clothing, families, friends, and our mission fields...no matter how large, small, or confined they may be. Father, please give us strength, as each needs.
Lastly, God Jehovah of Isreal, we ask that you remind us constantly of both the magnitude and brevity of life. To be wise with our time, as the days are evil while we walk this earth, but to keep our minds on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of the Father (Colossians). Let us recall that we are like unto the grass of the field which one day flowers, but the sun and the wind pass over it and it is gone. Your word tells us this. Let us then choose not to allow this thought to distress us, but to rejoice, knowing our suffering will not last forever, but that each day brings us closer to an eternity with you. Help us, oh God, we pray. Hear us this day. In Your perfect will and precious Name we pray. Amen.
