Glennb,
I certainly understand your reluctance to chemo.
This is all such a catch 22 of what to do. I'm so sorry
you're facing all of this. My heart just goes out to you
having to deal with such a heavy load of what to do,
and how to do it.
I don't know anything about the DCA, as I'm not up to
snuff on it, but I'm curious. Do you have any links? I don't
even know what the initials stand for....as I just read your
post.
Have you read at all about Quercetin? It's a flavonoid.
Extreme top of the list in "flavoinoids". It's being studied
now for it's anti cancer cells activity.
Also, I've read about "drinking tea" as you are, and some
articles I'd read in the past were not realistic in how many
cups of tea one needs to drink a day (so I could sure understand
what you meant about the drinking tea)....it's hard to keep that
"pace up".
I read about green tea, white tea and black teas, their benefits
to in the "antioxidant department".
There is a supplement I love, and maybe you can read about it,
it's (of course by Swanson's vitamins) (I love that place)...
but the supplement is called:
Green, White, and Black tea. It's ALL in one daily capsule.
That makes it much easier than trying to keep up the pace of
drinking 8-12 cups of tea every single day.
Just pop one of those.
They also (Swanson's Vitamins) has the Quercetin supplements
too.
I know I always sound like I'm pushing Swansons, ( but I only
mention them, because their prices are so reasonable)...and
they've been in business for 75 years I think it is now. And
their service has always been nothing but excellent. Imho.
I am a totally firm believer from all I've read for the last 30 years
that Antioxidants and Proanthocyanidins (tannins) such as barks, ARE major players in our health...for the little guys (our cells). We bombard them intentionally and unintentionally with
"radicals" in the body, and they must be protected.
And "ANTI" oxidants are what keep cells from lysing, or oxidizing...and
succombing to "free radicals that cause cancers".
This article is packed with some goodies, please check it out.

Take care.
