Anyone ever skinned yourself real bad? I'm wondering what you felt afterwards... I was on the treadmill about 45 minutes ago, rockin away to a song that was playing while walking very fast at the same time. Well, silly me lost my balance and fell, then slid right off the back of the thing, DUH. I skinned my knee up pretty bad... and now my poor old back is killing me big time. But what's gettin to me now is what both knees, my ankle, and my arms are doin. I put some antibiotic cream on my stupid little wound and then came down and got on the puter just to sit for awhile. But while I was posting on threads I suddenly started to feel A L O T of electrical sensations in BOTH knees and in my ankle... especially where I'm all scraped up at on the one knee. Course I'm feeling the "electricity" get stronger and stronger now on each area of my body that hit the treadmill... and I think I may be down in awhile cuz my back feels like I got hit by a semi. Gettin a little crazy here... any ideas what I can do to make the sensations stop? I don't need them goin on in my whole body that's for sure... cuz my head's been veeeeery electrical for 4 days straight. I just went upstairs and tried my peppermint oil too, but to no avail... course I couldn't put it on my scrape cuz it stings too bad. Anyhoo, not bein a baby here about my fall... just wanna make the electrical stuff stop. I'm also wondering why my fall made it start up so bad all over me... guess I must've pis*ed the little suckers off eh? love ya's ~~ bannanny P.S. I'm gonna try to finish my posts today but I might not be able to! The old diseased back is goin fast... I'm so stupid sometimes.

Hi, Bannanny...
When I get wounded, the only thing that helps is salt water. I apply it 3 times a day...a strong solution of regular Morton's and warm water. It helps with the odd sensations and the wound heals. I had one wound that would not heal until I started treating it with salt water. Then it formed a weird scab and healed. The scab looked like wax paper. It didn't look like the brown scabs that normal people get, but at least the wound healed.
Sorry to hear you're hurt. Hope you heal fast.

Can you ask your doc for a script for some lidocine/procaine cream? You rub this on your back, or rather tom tom gets to ;D & it stops the pain, hopefully. A dr. gave me this who was going to inject all the places I had scars, birthmarks, etc. to make me well, Quack He gave me this to rub in so I wouldn't feel the injections. I lost the tube so I don't know what it's called, but I'm sure he'd know. So sorry Nanners, freaky

Thanks guys... I actually have more deep scrapes than I thought. My ankle started showing a pretty good one after the fact... which was weird. I never even noticed it until late yesterday afternoon... and it's a deep one too. The other scrapes are so tiny you can't see them but I can feel them all today. Of course I'm pretty sore too... but not as bad as I thought I'd be. I ended up taking a real hot shower and took an 800 mg Ibuprofen which seemed to help my back anyway. Course I've had spinal surgery and still have 2 spinal diseases, so walking is definitely out of the question today! The sensations have slowed way down tho... which is better than great!
I've been using this shampoo and cond that I think awareseattle mentioned on some thread. It's called Tea Tree Tingle and you get it at Trader Joe's. It's been doing wonders for my hair and skin tho... so I used it on my scrapes as well. It burned a little at first, but the stuff makes you feel so cool and refreshed. I really love it... it's a good thing for those of us with hair problems too!
Anyhoo, thanks for listening and for all your tips!
big hugs ~~ bannannas

hey nan, i just read about horseradish and quantum dots.
if you go to the store, get raw horseradish and make a paste (mortar & pestle) to put on the area.
let us know the reaction should you be able to do this.
i don't seem to remember while i am at the store.

I'm gettin much more sore as the days pass instead of the opposite, but I did take a real bad fall... dummy that I am. The sensations are back too... but it's all made me think about what happened to doraisabel. Remember how she went into a remission state (so to speak?) Well, she got in a car accident and right after it happened her morg symptoms returned with a vengeance. She said she thought being in the accident and how it jerked her body around might have loosened up a "sleeping" morgs. So I'm wondering now if that's what could've happened to me... maybe the fall and then sliding off the treadmill (which was moving pretty fast) actually broke even more morgs free in my bod. Anyhoo, the electrical sensations are back like I said, but they're not constant, thank God.
I have some horseradish ruth, but I don't know if it's raw (don't think so since it's in a jar.) Maybe I'll try it tho just to see what happens... btw, can you tell me what's SUPPOSED to happen before I do try it? Don't wanna do anything that's gonna make morgs react in a big way. Trying to handle my head these past 5-6 days has been hard enough ya know?

Ooooops, forgot to answer you kammy! Yeah, they do kinda look like rug burns, but the deep one on my ankle looks like open flesh with rug burns around it. It was my skin against the treadmill tho so I guess it's kinda the same thing as getting a rug burn. They sting... but it's my back and joints that really took a toll. Feels like my ankle's about to break in half... and my wrists and ribs feel real weak too. Then there's my back... I'm trying to walk around tho and not just lay around. I even walked on the treadmill (at a veeeery slow pace) for 10-15 minutes today so I won't become even stiffer. But I'm hurtin pretty good right now anyway... DUH AGAIN!

Gee Nanners whatcha doin'? Sounds like you've hurt yourself pretty bad. Have you been to a doc? I don't know, but do they sell Heparin salves otc over there? It helps very well against strains, bruises, sore muscles and such. I'm sorry you're hurting and hope you'll get to feel better soon.
I was thinking about what you said about those electrical sparks and how it got worse after you fell. What if the morgs attach to the nerve endings?...and every time we hit a nerve by doing something (rubbing, putting 'stuff' on sores etc.) they get stimulated. Perhaps even an impulse by something such as light or noise, or even an accident, a shake, they react and we get those electrical sensations/sparks, bites, stings etc.?...dunno, just a thought but might be something we should look into bit closer.
Get better soon..and now I feel bad for getting so hard on ya with Freaky....bet Tom will sock it right back to us though... ;D

jeany, whatever are you talking about? Whatever, you are a Dauling, Dear, & Adorable. Mua, mua. Nanneers, I see you in tears. Go to the nasty doc & make sure you're OK, & get some narcotics, because PAIN is bad for you. It causes all these bad effects, but I won't go into that lengthy conversation now. Narcotics is not a bad word. It's merely a step up from prescription motrin 8MG, so they work better. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for the morgs. It makes them woozy, & unproductable. (my word) K? OK. I feel your pain. Your loving friend, freaky

I never thought you were jeany bean! I have some prescription 800 mg Ibuprofen freakers... and it's been helping alot! I'm feeling so much better... just had to get thru the soreness of being a klutz! I'm back on the thing already too... just did 16 minutes! I gotta get this old bod ready for St. Croix ya know? In fact, I'm goin nutz trying to find this particular dress I saw in an AT&T commerical that I wanna get married in. It's perfect for our beach wedding too... sheer and tye dyed in pastel colors. I think it'll look great dressed up a little with flowers in my hair etc. and go pefect with bare feet too!
I think I'll post the vid on a new thread and see if any of you guys know how I can find it! I've tried everything but haven't had any luck at all... mom's even gonna call AT&T advertising to see if she can locate it for me (sweetheart that she is!)
So look for that thread... I'll call it "Do you know?"
As for what you said about the electrical sensations starting up after my fall jeany... I totally agree. I think the nerves are involved in this mess big time... and muscles too. Even before my fall, the muscles in my legs always start bouncing up and down when I'm sitting or laying down. They're kinda like muscle spasms... except they feel like electrified jumping beans under my skin instead of the way a normal spasm feels. You can even see it happening right where I feel the sting goin on. So yeah... it may very well be that morgs has attached to our nerves. It makes sense to me anyway with everything I feel!

Oh yes, they're purdy Nanners! Isn't it when a fabric is called chiffon it's lightweighted and sheer? So, it should be what you want, I think. Good luck in finding the perfect fabric to create the most beautiful and unique wedding dress worn by the most gorgeous bride ever to be seen! Jeany
