My most recent batch of Essiac tea has been in the refrigerator
for two weeks. Have a quart remaining, time to reboil to kill any
bacteria that might be growing, and it's good for another two weeks.
...looked at a few drops to see if any colonies are evident..
....bummer...it's full of the transparent fibers , transparent gels and
the dread yellow gels.

this is odd. The previous batch was similarly infested..I suspected
it was my fault for using the Reverse Osmosis water, since I had run out
of distilled.
This batch, I made a point of using only distilled water..and only brewed
half a gallon. After two weeks in a small 'fridge that I keep barely
above freezing for the "health " items...I find that...once again..
the tea is overrun with the 20 micron diameter, transparent
[cellulose] fibers and particles.
The particle count in the store bought distilled is very low.
The tea is put into sealed glass bottles right after boiling...into
sterilized glass bottles [{heated to appx 300 F]
The tea is boiled THREE times during the process to discourage
bacteria and fungi. It appears that boiling does not discourage the
fiber growth in the slightest.
[ the fiber gowing particles survive being
boiled for 5-6 hours in the home distiller, so no surprises here...]
...not too many place left for an "infection"..really only leaves...the leaves.
Well, ground up plants anyway. So it looks like the organic plants
are being infested with "fiber growing spore particles" ...{?}
Great...another branch of research to attend to.
...so...I am making Essiac [4 herb] tea to assist with liver support
and cleaning..only to keep finding the transparent fibers and particles
in large amounts...in the tea that I am making...to help clear the body of
the very same ...fibers and particles.
{inadvertantly loading more fibers and particles in a concentrated form..excellent..]
This is all getting to be rather annoying.
