Ive been considering kaiser more and more but my reservations are losing my GYN whom I love. Shes a great blend of allopathic and natural medicine and always keeps up with the latest information and technology. On top of being open minded and thinking outside the box. Another consideration that has made my decision not to go with them is they did say in an emergancy they will cover another hospital bill and I do live very close to another hospital( only less than half a mile from me) ouside of kaiser.Theres (kaisers)is about 45 minutes away. So I called the hospital and asked if Kaiser really does cover the bill in emergancys and the woman told me yes they do BUT Anything they consider unnessesary the patient has to pay. I asked if that really happens and she said "yes, often" This isnt anything against Kaiser as they have a right to do this and protect themselves but I dont ever want to get stuck a bill they think is unnessasary . i once had to pay for a surgery out of pocket and had to take a bank loan out to pay for it and you wouldnt beleive all the charges ....like baby powder . vaseline, ect that were marked up a hundred times there true cost And all the drugs that I never remember and dont think i even recieved,This is how hospitals make there money I supose .And things like having a nurse massage my back that i never asked for but get charged for. My next plan is going with Atnea in maybe a couple months when I have more money coming in!

Ive explained it before Kmarie but in case you missed it i wanted to take a break from thinking about morgellons and even friski herself LOL So i havent read much here the last few months. I still only read a couple threads . I think Im just burned out reading about morgellons and dont want to think asbout it much anymore. Im better off emotionally if i dont think about it. But i still love you guys and have really missed being here. Also been very busy with other things but have plenty of down time right now and appreciate everyones feedback on the insurance thread

Liatris i dont know the answer to that question, I wonder myself! After reading so many policies I now know all the terminology and have a pretty good understanding of it all and what exactly Ill be getting where as I didnt before. its a little complicated for my pea brain but Im getting it ! ------- Carrie i hope you dont come to regret friskie coming out to play !!! ;D ;D ------- Ants You are dense arent you? LOL ;D Carrie paid you a very nice compliment, expect your personal messages aaaat LB to be full by evening and watch out for female stalkers! ;D (i know you secretly miss me chasing you around and sexually harrassing you! ) Uou cant hide behind Carries skirt anymore ! ;D ;D

yeah I knew that Carrie, great minds think alike ;D Friskis out of the bag now! (As Anthill runs for the hills! ;D) Meooooow~! ;D Now back to this insurance crap Ive been dealing with theres a couple other lovely things i want to say about blue cross I take horomones from a compounding pharmacy my GYN prescribed and had a 10 dollar copay for scripts that they did pay on for several months and then i get a letter from them saying they are not going to pay for them anymore because I get it from a compounding pharmacy. So thats another 30 bucks out of my pocket every month, And i efuse to take sinthetic horomones made from horse urine, yes thats right Im not joking. Estrogen is made from pregnant mares urine and is inhumane on top of that. Also when you check out their plans it seems as if so many things are included but you have to click on"plan details" and you will find they really arent included until your yearly deductable is paid and that may only include generic. Its pretty misleading if you ask me and Im sure they know it Ok im done ranting on Blue cross! And Im on to a better plan hopefully

I havent heard of the quercitin or maybe my memorie is failing me, very possible Toni!! Anyone of us can get cancer so its important for all of us to do everything possible to try and be healthy and eat healthy. These foods are not just anti cancer but are cancer preventitive i may add. My aunts doctor said she also HAD to excersice every day so she signed up at the senoir center for classes. i also beleive state of mind and positive emotions and stress relief are equally as important as diet in maintaining or regaining health.

One more thing I forgot is I met a womman who said when she gave up wheat and sugar her fibro dissappeared Also i tried adding tomato and tomatoe paste into my diet for health benefits and after a week the muscle pain started to come back after being free from it for years. Tomatoe is part of nightshade group that some react to potatoe, tomatoe, eggplant bell pepper all nightshade I beleive. Can cause arthritis symptoms in some peple too

Heres what happened ....... originally they raised me to 357 a month with a 2500 deductable. Because of my age so I applied for a cheaper plan at 187 a month with a 3500 deductable , they wanted a 50 percent increase of premeum ,that would be 93.50 a month extra ( iwas rounding it off)for the doxepin or maybe it was an insomnia issue I dont know Im talking about bluesross/anthem not kaiser Ive only looked into kaiser as of now Yes they told me it takes 2 weeks so I made sure I still had my old plan in place so there would be no gap but they took 3 so my other I did not make a payment and canceled it when I found out they wanted to increase that one too Ive been with them at least 20 years and been on doxepin for 8 years now. The application asked about prescriptions and medical conditions so they are clearly upping rates . I just realized Im not being a very good exammple in practicing forgiveness here! LOL ;D

I had terrible muscle pain for over 10 years years , i guess it was fibromyalgia. Some days it wa so bad i felt like a truck ran over me. What helped get rid of alot of it was arobic type excersice. And what finally kicked it out for good was regular hatha yoga. Im convinced its trapped toxins in the muscles that need to get worked out. GO EASY on the yoga though, so many times I tried it and it made me so much worse. i had to start with a senoir yaga tape even though I was only in my fortys.

Hey Carrie ! Thanks for all the great feedback about kaiser. My friend just got with them too and said so many good things about them so far and ditto about their have their act together, with paperwork and presciptions. My friend said it only took 3 days to get the insurance where anthem took THREE weeks to tell me they would only accept me on that cheaper plan with a 50 percent increase in the premium because of the doxepin. the doxepin only costs 10 dollars a month and thats paying cash! Blue cross/anthem Sucks and Im telling everyone I know ! ;D Im going to turn this around to be a better situation for me somehow. ive spent hours and hours researching plans and Kaiser is the by far the best deal for your money. But i like the idea of going without insurance even though it s risky. All the money Ive spent on insurance I could be driving a new vehicle instead ive had to drive old vehicles that breakdown with costly repairs and so much aggrevation . My friend had that foot problem too and shes free from pain I beleive now because she buys really good expensive shoes, ortho[edic I think. I will ask her for you.

Thanks Kmarie The more i think about this the madder i get! Maybe I just should forget about health insurance for now and put that money towards health.......like buying all organic and taking more herbs that I couldnt afford . Imagine having an extra 300.00 a month to spend on your health! Maybe this could be a blessing in disguise!
